Foreign nationals who have held permanent residency for 2 years, have lived in Argentina continuously, speak basic Spanish, and can demonstrate integration into Argentine society may apply for naturalization (ciudadanÃa argentina). Argentina also grants citizenship by birth (jus soli) to all children born on Argentine soil, regardless of parents' nationality.
